I am a registrar in Emergency Medicine in Sri Lanka. My research interests are in the field of medical education and resuscitation. I am also volunteering as the director of training and development of St John Ambulance in Sri Lanka. My teaching commitments are being a visiting lecturer at the University of Moratuwa in MSc. Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, committee member of the Simulation Center of Faculty of Medicine University of Colombo, visiting lecturer in Post Basic Nursing school Colombo in Emergency Nursing Care Diploma, European Resuscitation Council Young ERC member and ALS full instructor, faculty member of EMT training and protocol developer of the National Ambulance Service- Suwaseriya. I am also involved in teaching and developing various local acute care and emergency medicine training programs for medical students and CPD programs for junior doctors. I have contributed to develop and implement a near-peer learning module on emergency medicine for the University of Colombo, Faculty of Medicine. I represent Sri Lankan Society of Critical Care and Emergency Medicine as a council member.
